Melani has a degree in English Literature from Southern New Hampshire University and has experience working at an international shipping logistics company.

Growing up in a small town in Appalachia with a population of less than three hundred and fifty people left her with a wild imagination and a love of reading.

As a child, she desperately wished she had been born a boy because all the cool hero - figures on TV were men. As she grew older, though, she started reading about the many interesting women throughout history and the captivating female characters in the wide world of literature. These women have become her inspirations.
