Branch Valley
When Jonathan Redding returns to his unhappy childhood home in Branch Valley, West Virginia, for his father’s untimely funeral, he’s confronted by his tough older sister, Theresa, and their troubled younger sibling, Maddie, but also by something else…something darker. The house, haunted by the violence of past generations and the legend of the Cherokee Raven Mocker, presses in on them. Their family’s pain spans from their traumatized grandmother Hattie, to their secretive father John, to a vanished uncle no one talks about. Surrounded by memories and unfinished business, the siblings face the darkness together. But, even in the midst of that hope, the unsettling question of what really happened to their father lingers, as a white raven with red eyes looks on.
